Various departments put their best foot forward on Madibaz Day to show off what they have been doing for the past ten years.

Human Resources Department

Firstly, the HR Department’s exhibition was informed by the four roles upon which the NMMU HR Strategy is based. Evidence was provided in respect of the contributions which we as the HR Department believe we have made to NMMU over the past 10 years.

Secondly and more importantly, at the exhibition point, colleagues were invited to submit their improvement ideas related to each of the four roles. The necessary technological support was be provided for this purpose. These suggestions are intended to assist the HR Department to continuously improve its service delivery to the NMMU and its employees.

The four roles referred to above are:

·         Strategic Partner

·         Change Agent

·         Employee Champion

·         Administrative Expert

A panel comprising senior academic and senior management colleagues will adjudicate on suggestions submitted. Prize winners and their suggestions will be communicated soon after the event.

The employee with the best suggestion in each category will be awarded a R500 voucher.
